From the very beginning of the pandemic, the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District has adhered to guidance from the California Department of Public Health and our county health department. We intend to follow the updated state guidance unless more restrictive measures are adopted by the Monterey County Health Department. In accordance with the state’s update, effective Monday, March 14, 2022, masks will be strongly recommended but not required for students (regardless of vaccination status) at all MPUSD school sites and departments.

Open Enrollment for grades Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade is now open for the 2022-2023 school year. This period is the only time to request a transfer from one school to another school within the district for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. If you wish to request a transfer you must complete a request form no later than Friday, February 4, 2022 for middle and elementary school.
